We are a family business where my son & daughter, Zaac & Bam Bam, play an integral role in co-designing, co-creating (and sometimes co-presenting) resources and services. We have been through some turbulent times where we have learnt a great deal of lessons to support our mental wellbeing. At times, we have felt alone in our struggles, but we choose to use each experience as an opportunity to grow. It is our mission to share our story and lessons to support others in similar situations so that they know they are not alone, but also as a way for us to heal more too.
Ms B – In my teaching life, I am known as Ms B. My teaching philosophy, right back from my pracs, has always been founded on ‘Understanding the Learner’. Over 20 years on, I specialise in supporting students to build self-awareness, strengthen their identity and develop critical & creative thinking skills. I believe that these are crucial skills for our children to stand strong in their uniqueness for the future. I am a ‘conscious’ parent & teacher so I have reservations about the conventional approach to education that emphasises uniformity and moulds children into a standardised mould. I stand firmly against utilising fear as a means to manage children’s behaviour too, as I believe in nurturing positive and supportive relationships and environment. When times have been toughest for our students in today’s climate, I found that this was where my gifts shone through. I made the decision to branch out from teaching in just one small school and broaden my reach to parents and teachers worldwide to make more of a difference where we need it right now, developing our self-awareness and honouring the importance of self-care to support our overall wellbeing. It’s been a big risk, but so far it has been extremely rewarding and liberating!
Zaac – I am Zaac and I love gaming, basketball and climbing. My Mum and Dad broke up when I was 3. I don’t get to see my Dad very much. I’ve had some tough times and I am proud of myself for getting through it. Every time something bad happens, it makes me tougher and so I make it through easier. (Zaac bring the order into our lives! Our Yang!)
Bam Bam – Hi, I am Bam Bam and I love my Mum, singing, dancing, acting and using my creativity. I like to swim and play in the water. I love being silly to make people happy! I go to school and I love learning about social studies. My Daddy left me when I was 1 and I was really sad, but I am okay now. I’ve learnt that it’s okay to be sad sometimes and that it’s okay to cry. (Bam Bam brings the joy into our lives! Our Yin!)

LAUREN BOYNTON
Holistic Self-care & Feng Shui Mindset Mentor
Hi. I’m Lauren (aka Ms B). A conscious, Libran solo Mumma of two blessings, a son and daughter who live in the picturesque Tamborine Mountain, Queensland, Australia.
I have a love of learning and teaching, holistic wellness, essential oils, gardening, DIY projects, cute home décor, oracle card reading, bushwalking and so much more. I am a solution-focused nurturer with load of ideas always pouring into my mind, attention to detail and a need to master everything I learn (My favourite topic is self-improvement). I love to write too so get comfortable…..
My greatest gift is my ability to make even strangers feel comfortable sharing their joys & pains with me within just moments of meeting. I am empowered by connecting with others (but as an empath, balance this will periods of being a ‘homebody’) .
I’m all about using natural solutions to find a balance. At one point in my life, I was so lost that I didn’t even know what made me happy. My life experiences have made me passionate about self-care and wellbeing and extra determined to support families to connect and thrive together.
I was a good little Christian girl growing up and so I have always been spiritual and had a close connection to God right up until I experienced infertility for four years when I was trying to conceive our first child. (It challenged me that God could ‘punish’ me in that way being that I had strived all of my life to do everything ‘right’!) My body was under a great deal of stress as a Primary School teacher and the infertility naturally made me depressed.
It was at that point that I was quite randomly introduced to Feng Shui at, of all things, a Nutrimetics class. Instantly I resonated with it and bought the presenter’s book and before long I had signed up for a course to be certified as a Feng Shui practitioner – not really to be a practitioner as I was a teacher at the time, but because that’s the person I am. If I want to know something I will study it to the point that I could teach it to others!
Feng Shui gave me hope! It was something that I could control and it felt good to have a tool to help find a balance & manifest my dreams! As a typical Libran who loves balance and harmony, the basics of Feng Shui just made sense. So much was logical, however it can get quite complex. I started adapting it to make it a bit more simplified. I believed that if it was getting overwhelming, surely that energy is going to be counter-productive!?!?
We finally conceived our son then when he was just 7 months old, our daughter decided she was ready. It was all divine timing and it was at this point that I truly accepted that all things happen for a reason. My faith in Source was restored.
Raising two young children became a pressure cooker for my husband and by the time my daughter was just over 1.5 years old, my husband left, leaving me to raise our children as a single-Mumma.
Funnily enough, at the time when he left, I had been using my new understanding of mindfulness, the Law of Attraction and ‘inner’ Feng Shui of the mind to work on ‘finding love within’ in anticipation that the cracks that were showing in my marriage may be mended. Instead, the Universe had other plans for me and showed me that the best way for me to have the love I deserved, was to release the toxic marriage I was trying to hold on to so tightly. Seeing how these new methods amplified the effectiveness of Feng Shui really shifted my philosophy to a whole new level! This was when I originally started my ‘Yinning the Yang’ business – A Mumma finding a balance with Feng Shui.
Over the years, I was introduced to essential oils, chakra balancing, EFT tapping, reiki, stress management and more, broadening my understanding of how energy flows within and around our bodies and environment. All of these modalities have helped me to understand more about how to look at Feng Shui in a holistic way in body, mind, spirit and environment.
My children and I are recovering now from emotional & psychological trauma which is why I have become knowledgeable about stress management, social-emotional development and a whole lot of releasing of suppressed anger and forgiveness. Nothing has helped me more than reconnecting with myself, listening to its messages and learning to honour the importance of making my wellbeing a priority in order to care effectively for my children.
At the heart of our family business, is our mission to empower others with the invaluable tools we have learnt to connect to Self, each other & Source. More about our approach below.
I have truly lived my holistic Feng Shui approach especially in the past few years and I know it has helped me through the darkest of times.
My approach to Feng Shui is a lifestyle now which starts by tuning into Self and honouring yourself with self-care first. In fact my approach to Feng Shui is a form of self-care in itself. It’s about Yinning the Yang! Yin being connecting to self, joy & Source to fill your cup which naturally sparks more inspired, rational and productive Yang (actions). We all have our own source of magic that flows in and around us that we can tap into. When we are in alignment with your source, life flows with ease and we flourish.
Here’s how ‘Yinning the Yang’ works to tap into your ‘Magic Source‘.
This 3-part sequence is the key to finding your balance and tapping into your flow drawing your closer to achieving your intentions.
It is our mission to shift people’s mindsets from rewarding ourselves with self-care ONLY once the work is done- if at all – to honouring our self-care FIRST! In reality, if we flip this to Yin before we Yang, we live a more inspired, productive life with more joy, flow and harmony. Isn’t that what we want in life??
Let us help you Tune In to YOUR natural balance and flow and live a life in alignment with more happiness, health & harmony!
